Body found at old Farmers Market in Elkhart

ELKHART, Ind. -- A body was found at around 11:00 a.m. Saturday in Elkhart.

Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call that a body was found in the parking lot of the old Farmer’s Market located at along CR 26 in Elkhart.

When officers arrived they found the body of a female, approximately 45 years of age.

The investigation is ongoing and the victim's identity has not been released.

Another body was found in Elkhart County earlier Saturday morning across town in the Poor Tony's parking lot. Elkhart city police are handling that case.

Investigators are working to learn if these two deaths are connected.
