SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The one-day soccer tournament known as the South Bend Global Cup will be returning for its second year this Oct. 5 at Boehm Park.

The City of South Bend announced on Monday that the event, which celebrates the universality of sports and the diverse heritage of South Bend, will be played from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"The South Bend Global Cup started in 2023 as a celebration of World Refugee Day," city officials said. "This event is possible with the collaboration of the City of South Bend, United Religious Community of St. Joseph County, Catholic Charities, La Casa de Amistad, Neighbor to Neighbor, the St. Joseph County Public Library, and numerous volunteers."

The cost to register a team is $50, and payment can be made online or by dropping off checks in person at Howard Park or the Mayor’s office.
