Brandywine Community Schools selects new superintendent

NILES, Mich. – Brandywine Community Schools has selected Travis Walker as its new superintendent.

Walker is currently a middle/high school principal in Brandywine.

He will start the new role on July 1, replacing Karen Weimer, who is retiring.

Walker has served as an administrator with Brandywine since the start of this school year.

Before Brandywine, Walker was the high school principal in Constantine for over five years.

He was previously a teacher for nine years.

The decision was made by the Brandywine Community Schools Board of Education and the Michigan Leadership Institute.
