Breaking a sweat for breast cancer

SOUTH BEND , Ind. --Grab some water and rev up your spin bike, Friday Notre Dame kicked off The Pink Zone Spin Off.

The women's basketball team, The Rec Center, and The College of Science are all teaming up together for the pinked out ride.

Participators are breaking a sweat for 24 hours at the Rockne Memorial.

Each ride is $50 and all the money goes to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center for breast cancer support.

With a new theme every hour, they hope that no one slows down.

Stephanie Menio with the girl's basketball team said, "Every hour we have a different theme. This hour is the USA theme.  So, we're watching Miracle.  We have an 80s theme and it's just to keep the energy high and really just have fun. "

The spin-a-thon ends at noon on Saturday.

There is also a breast cancer spin-a-thon at Knollwood Country Club, this weekend, it starts Saturday morning at eight.
