Hazardous wind chills today, but warming on the way
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- One person was killed in a shooting early Thursday morning.
Police were called to the 1000 block of N. Brookfield Street around 2:15 a.m. after receiving a ShotSpotter alert.
The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit says the victim, 24-year-old Taveyon D. Colon, was found lying in the front lawn when the first officers arrived.
Colon was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
