SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A commercial fire broke out in the 500 block of Michigan St. between South Street and Monroe Street Tuesday morning.
The South Bend Fire Department was dispatched to the building at 3:19 a.m.
When crews arrived, they saw the fire showing on the second floor.
Two people escaped from the building without injuries.
No firefighters were injured in the incident.
The scene cleared at 5:13 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The origin and cause of the fire is still under investigation.
