The South Bend Uniform Company is investing in a new business strategy. The company that once made national headlines for their Breathe Easy t-shirts is opening up a full-service barber shop.
It's called the “Breathe Easy Barbery.”
Jason Barthel, owner of the South Bend Uniform Company, says this is a way to bridge the gap between police officers and the community.
“We knew we wanted to have something in the store that was going to bring people from the community in here,” says Barthel.
Barthel says an old school barber shop is just what his community needs.
“Men, women, children, everybody is welcome,” says Barthel.
