Utility reform group looks for moratorium extension
BREMEN, Ind. – A single vehicle crash on U.S. 6, east of Jarrah Road, took the life of an Elkhart man Friday morning.
According to the Marshall County Police Department, officers were called to the scene of the crash around 9 a.m.
The investigation suggested the driver of a purple 1999 Dodge van, 63-year-old Walter Conner, was traveling west on U.S. 6 when his vehicle traveled across the eastbound lane and off the road, striking a mailbox and a fence.
Officers say Conner’s van continued into a 10-foot ditch.
Conner was found dead at the scene.
Officials are still investigating this crash.
