Buchanans mayor encourages you to share your favorite 'doggy dishes'

BUCHANAN, Mich. -- Would you like to see a dog park in Buchanan? Come share your favorite recipes!
The city just started collecting recipes for a cookbook. They plan to sell it to raise money for the park. The dog park commission came up with the idea.
Currently, Buchanan does not have a dog park. The mayor told ABC57 on Wednesday that the city desperately needs one.
Buchanan Mayor Carla Cole said, “There’s no good area for people to let their dogs loose off the leash and be able to run and be safe and be able to exercise.”
The city does not want to use taxpayer money to build the park.
