Buggy driver dies from injuries sustained in accident

The driver of a horse and buggy that was rear ended while on US 6 on June 11 died from injuries sustained in the accident.

According to the accident report, two trucks were driving eastbound on US6 and Devon Slabaugh was in the shoulder of the road driving a horse and buggy.

The driver of a semi rear ended the truck in front of him and that truck rear ended the buggy.

The buggy was pushed into the ditch.

Slabaugh suffered facial injuries in the accident and was taken to Memorial Hospital.

The Elkhart Sheriff's Department says Devon Slabaugh died June 22 at approximately 10 p.m.
