Minutes after a woman got out of her van with her 17-month old son, a bullet struck the van. The incident happened Tuesday night around 6 p.m. on West Indiana Avenue.
Angelique Willis has lived in the Washington Gardens apartment complex for nine years.
Willis and her family were inside their home when they heard the gunshot, and ducked for cover.
“After picking up my son up from school there was a shooting maybe five minutes after that and I don't know the bullet traveled from Wagner and went through the window. My kids are used to it, they duck even for fire crackers they think it's gun shots” says Willis
The search is still on for the shooter.
