Burn bans, fireworks bans still in place despite rain

INDIANA -- The brief rain did little to change minds of officials on burn bans and fireworks bans.

ABC57 checked with Marshall County and learned that the despite the rain, fireworks are still banned in the county.

Elkhart has also announced that a fireworks ban is now in effect for all of Elkhart County.

Violators of the fireworks ban could be fined up to $1,000.
