SOUTH BEND — The Indiana public access counselor ruled in favor of South Bend mayor Pete Buttigieg over a transparency complaint. Common council member Valerie Schey claimed the city violated the access to public records act.
The counselor disagreed.
"I hope we can now focus on upholding a reasonable process for information sharing," said Buttigieg in a statement released Friday afternoon. "Citizens expect us to work together and my door remains open to council member Valerie Schey.
