California boaters have a whale of tale to tell

SAN LUIS OBSIPO, Calif. -- Some boaters in California got an opportunity that many can only dream about.
An amateur photographer captured photos of a humpback whale surfacing feet away from boaters off the coast the central California coast.
Humpback whales are often seen in the area around this time of year but have never been captured this clearly.
The animal did not harm anyone and did not cause any damage to the boats.
