Candlelight vigil being held for 6-year-old murder victim

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend community is remembering a 6-year-old girl who became a victim of deadly violence over the weekend.

Shirley Mundia was murdered Sunday morning, allegedly by her father.

Members of the community are gathering at a memorial for the little girl – to remember her tight little hugs and her big smile.

The memorial starts at 6 p.m. at the Irish Hills apartment complex where Shirley lived with her mother.

People have been taking flowers, teddy bears, cards and lighting candles at a memorial for her at the apartment complex.
