A car struck a sign and part of a building in Edwardsburg at M62 and US12 just before noon Thursday.
A witness says she was getting her hair done when she heard a loud noise outside. She said the car struck a business sign, then struck her vehicle and the front porch of the Berkshire Hathaway building next door.
The vehicle then crashed into another vehicle on the other side of the building, in the parking lot.
The Cass County Sheriff's Department says the driver appears to have had a medical emergency, which may have caused the crash.
The driver, 75-year-old Michael Crane, was taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka following the crash.
His condition has not been released.
