Car seat clinic held by Mishawaka Fire Department

The Mishawaka Fire Department held a free car seat clinic on Thursday for parents to learn how to properly secure a child seat.

Firefighters say as many as nine out of ten car seats are not used correctly, and that can cause bad injuries in a crash.

"If you don't have your child secured correctly, they could fly out of the car seat. Injuries to their brain, neck, spinal cord break their bones and things like that.” says an official.

The event ended at 7:00 p.m. at Station No.4 on Harrison Road.
