Car vs. semi accident leaves three people trapped, closes road

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- A bad accident has closed one Marshall County Road.
La Paz, Polk Township and several other departments responded to a call for a car vs. semi accident around 10:15 p.m. Sunday near U.S. 31.
A compact car collided with a semi leaving three people trapped inside.
Those three were cut out of the vehicle and taken to Memorial Hospital.
Two of the victims were transported via MedFlight. The other was taken by ambulance.
Their conditions are not known at this time.
During the accident fuel was spilled across Michigan Street and the road was closed for an hour while crews cleaned it up.
The cause of the accident is still unknown.
