Cass County administrator put on paid leave following derogatory statements about Muslims and gay people

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- Cass County Administrator Patrick Jordan was placed on paid leave after a special session on Friday morning by the county board of commissioners.
Patrick Jordan is placed on paid leave until an internal investigation is completed into the inappropriate jokes he made about Muslims and gay people on the job in the county office building.
The Cass County Board of Commissioners released a statement saying:
Cass County Administrator Patrick Jordan has been placed on administrative leave as the county's legal counsel investigates claims made against him.
The decision was made at a special meeting of the Board of Commissioners on Friday Morning.
"The County has received complaints about the County using derogatory language in the workplace, which, if true, may violate the county's written polices," said Board Chair Jereimiah Jones.
The statement continues saying:
The county takes these allegations very seriously. Pending the results of the investigation, we are going at act swiftly, with fairness and with justice for all parties involved.
