Cass County deputies searching for driver in hit and run

CASS COUNTY, Mich. - The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a driver and vehicle involved in a hit and run crash on Marcellus Highway Thursday evening.

The incident happened around 5 p.m. at the intersection of Marcellus and Decatur Road.

According to the investigation, a 73-year-old driver was crossing the intersection eastbound when a northbound silver minivan pulled in front of him, causing the crash.

The minivan then left the scene, deputies said.

The 73-year-old driver was not injured but his passenger was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
