Cass County family of five escapes house fire

PENN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A family of five escaped a fire at their Cass County home on Thursday evening.
Firefighters from Penn Township responded to a fire in a rural part of Cass County.
The fire started just before 7:30 p.m. on Carver road between Vandalia and the city of Cassopolis.
The family escaped without injury.
