JONES, Mich – A Cass County family is still without power 10 days after the October 20th storm.
“It’s been hell here really I mean we are having a hard time being able to feed the kids we’re having to use a generator for this little bit of power here,” Tonya Newman said.
The Newman family said during the October 20th storm the power lines came down knocking their power out.
Newman said she contacted I&M to have her service restored but repairs haven’t been made yet.
Since the Newman family lost power they’re relying on a generator that they say is costly to fuel.
ABC57 reach out to I&M who said: “I&M is aware and is working directly with the customer to safely address the issue with the customer’s property and related service in question.”
Newman says I&M has since reached out to her and they’re working on a time to successfully restore service.
