Cass Family Clinic invests in workforce training program
Cass Family Clinic CASSOPOLIS, Mich. -- The Cass Family Clinic is providing workforce training to those who seek a career in healthcare thanks for a grant from Michigan's Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity.
Operated by the Michigan Primary Care Association, the Health Center Career Training Program provides interested participants with year-long hands-on technical assistance, resources, and program monitoring. The grant, effective through the end of 2026, covers operational costs as well as individual trainee funding.
The Cass Family Clinic offers medical assistant, dental assistant, community health worker, and pharmacy technician training at its Cass and Niles locations.
After completing the training program, students will earn a certificate in their respective field which they can then use to apply for a position at Cass Family Clinic or another organization.
“At Cass Family Clinic, strengthening the healthcare workforce is essential to strengthening the communities we serve,” said Cass Family Clinic CEO Joe Gavan. “With support from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, and the Michigan Primary Care Association, we’re creating pathways into meaningful healthcare careers while ensuring our region has the skilled professionals needed to deliver high-quality care close to home.”
