CASSOPOLIS, Mich. -- The Michigan State University Extension of Cassopolis hosted a First Impressions Tourism Assessment event at a community forum on Wednesday to learn what improvements should be made to increase visitor satisfaction in the area.
Community members gathered with Cassopolis officials on Wednesday to listen and review data points to organize a list of strengths and weaknesses of the area’s tourist attractions.
"I think there's some wonderful assets in Cassopolis. So, I think to the extent that we can make other folks understand what those assets are, be able to better attract them to our region. I think that's going to help us out,” one Cassopolis resident said.
Residents in attendance also collaborated on what specific additions can be made to improve upon noted tourist weaknesses in Cassopolis.
