Cause of apartment fire under investigation

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Our cameras were rolling this morning to capture what is left of an apartment building after flames broke out. It happened on South Main Street around 6:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Fire investigators say the flames started in the basement and then spread to the first floor. At least two apartments were so badly damaged that they cannot be lived in.

Fortunately, no one was home at the time. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
