The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is calling their national anti-smoking campaign a success.
The agency says more than 200,000 Americans quit smoking as a result.
It featured real life stories and powerful images of former smokers living with smoking-related disabilities and diseases.
This is the first time a federal agency has created and placed paid advertisements for a national tobacco education campaign.
