Cedar Street Bridge to reopen by end of day Friday

ABC 57

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The City of Mishawaka announced the Cedar Street Bridge will reopen by the end of the business day Friday.

Officials say crews will continue working on the Riverwalk underneath the north end of the bridge without the need to restrict traffic.

Motorists are asked to continue using caution within this area as work moves forward.

City officials say landscaping, fencing, and final lighting installation are still pending.

Temporary lighting will be in place until the permanent system is installed later this year.

The city adds that the pedestrian crossing flasher is expected to be installed in late September. Temporary signage will be posted in the meantime.
