Center for the Homeless prepares for member adoption weekend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Many people at the Center for the Homeless are going to have a busy weekend.

Every year, the center is proud to have each member adopted by someone in the community. Santa's helpers have spent the past few days wrapping the donated gifts and they will be given to families on Christmas morning.

Friday afternoon, a 4th grader from St. Matthew's School in South Bend will come and give presents to the center. He'll be dressed up like Santa and have lots of goodies.

Then on Christmas the community members will have a private breakfast and share gifts with each other.Later the community will put together a nice holiday dinner for them.

All volunteers are welcome.
