ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - Centier Bank donated $1,000 to the Suicide Prevention Center of St. Joseph County for the center's upcoming Race to Save Lives - Walk for Hope event.

The event is the center's annual fundraiser and will be held on October 15 at Howard Park.

Money raised from the event, including the bank's donation, supports the center's services aimed at preventing suicide and educating and training the public about suicide.

“We work hard to ensure that our programming remains available to anyone who needs it,” said Amy Pracht, Director of the Suicide Prevention Center. “We could not facilitate this program without the support of Centier Bank and all of our sponsors. This sponsorship shows that Centier Bank truly cares about the community they serve.”

“Suicide can be very hard for people to talk about, especially in light of the mental health crisis that took place in the last few years,” said Katlin Gaffron, Centier Bank's Granger Branch Manager. “We are proud to call ourselves a community partner to the Suicide Prevention Center, so they can conduct the necessary outreach and bring the community together to provide support to those in need. No one should suffer alone.”
