SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Memorial Day Weekend is always a huge weekend for campgrounds, but like everything else, the coronavirus is complicating what was once a very simple pleasure.
On May 24th, state run and private campgrounds across Indiana will be allowed to reopen for recreational campers using tents, RVs, cabins and more, but some amenities like pools will be shut down.
In Michigan, Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s stay-at-home order only allows camping for “essential workers” and “essential travel.”
Toby O’Rourke, President and CEO of Kampgrounds of America (KOA) sat down with Brian Conybeare to discuss how the crisis is impacting camping.
