ST. JOSEPH, Mich – The annual Chalk the block event sees dozens of artists come to St. Joe to paint the streets and sidewalks during a weekend of entertainment.
The 22ndannual event kicked off Friday and runs until Sunday.
“I started drawing when I was two-years-old and I kind of just grew with my family” Alexandra Yatros said.
Families are encouraged to come see the free event and people can vote for on their favorite piece for one dollar.
Besides artwork the event features a kids area and a concert.
The event is funded by St. Joseph Today and people in the community told ABC57 they hope it comes back for a 23rdyear.
