Charges filed in infant's death

The Berrien County Prosecutor has filed charges in the death of 8-month-old Carter Donovan.
Brandon Tyler Beshires, 30, has been charged with first degree murder, felony murder and first degree child abuse.
The prosecutor's office says Donovan was under Beshires' care Friday morning while his mother, 31-year-old Autumn Atchley, was at a doctor appointment.
Donovan was in Beshires' care for approximately 1.5 hours.
When the Atchley returned, she and Beshires took Donovan to the hospital.
Donovan was pronounced pronounced dead at the hospital.
The prosecutor's office alleges Beshires caused the child's head to be struck with enough force to cause Donovan's death.
The relationship between Beshires and Atchley is not known.
