Crawford was initially arrested on Aug. 6, charged with Murder in connection to the shooting death of 25-year-old Dante Sellers on Aug. 3 outside Matey's Bar.

His Murder charge was dismissed on Aug. 19 without prejudice at the request of the La Porte County Prosecutor’s Office.

The refiled charge came after additional evidence was collected and presented.

Crawford was issued a $1,000,000 cash bond. 

Crawford is the second suspect in this case, as the investigation first led to 35-year-old Daquvay Sherrod, of Michigan City, to be charged with Murder.
