Chicago teachers continue to stay out of the classroom

CHICAGO -- Chicago school teachers went into their third day of their strike on Wednesday with no clear end in sight.

The strike currently has kept nearly 350,000 school children out of the classroom.

And while negotiations have continued, both sides say they are still far apart on several key issues.

One issue includes the decision to close neighborhood schools. Another issue involves how new testing rules will affect teachers.

Officials with the teachers union say they do not think they will be able to reach a deal on Wednesday.
