Chicago's Historic Motor Row District at the Studebaker National Museum Public Program

SOUTH BEND, Ind --Located on South Michigan Avenue, Chicago's Historic Motor Row District is home to the largest, intact, early "motor colony" in the United States. 

On December 13, 2000, it was designated a Chicago Landmark and added to the United States National Register of Historic Places on November 18, 2002. 

As many as 116 different makes of automobiles were repaired and sold on Motor Row at its peak, with early auto company names - such as Ford, Buick and Cadillac still on the building's brick and terra cotta facades on South Michigan Avenue. 

The top architects that designed the elaborate automobile showrooms on Motor Row, with presenter Barbara Barrett to talk about early development of the American Automobile industry, with several automobile companies located there, that you would have found in the showrooms for sale.

In the Wiekamp Auditorium is were the Campisi Family Education Fund will present the Studebaker Museum Speaker Series.

Admission for regular Speaker Series is $2, and admission for Campus Members and Studebaker Nation Museum are free.
