Child airlifted after ATV accident, child 7 & 5 not wearing helmet

PLYMOUTH, Ind. - Emergency crews rushed to the scene of an ATV accident Saturday afternoon in Plymouth.

A 911 call was made at 4:09 p.m. after three people, including two children were thrown from the ATV.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the ATV was being operated by Brent Hoover, 41 on private property when the accident happened.

Hoover lost control of the ATV after hitting a drainage ditch.

His sons, Brady Hoover, 7 and Bryce Hoover, 5 were also thrown during the rollover.

Brady was transported to Plymouth Hospital by ambulance and then airlifted to South Bend Memorial Hospital for observation.

Brent and Bryce were also transported to Plymouth Hospital where they were treated and released.

According to the DNR no one was wearing a helmet and only Bryce was wearing a safety restraint at the time of the accident.
