Child dropped off at hospital with life threatening injuries, CMHU investigating

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit is investigating after a child was dropped off at the hospital with life threatening injuries.

South Bend Police were notified just before 1 a.m. Tuesday that a child in the emergency department had life-threatening injuries.

The homicide unit, Special Victim’s Unit and Department of Child Services were all notified.

The homicide unit is now investigating and is asking for anyone with information in this case to contact CMHU at 235-5009 or Crime Stoppers at 288-STOP.
