ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - Smart Brand Ambassadors hosted a chili cookoff in effort to raise funds for displaced veterans.
Dozens of people attended the event, listening to music and bonding over bowls of chili, at 933 Nutrition.
The event featured a variety of chili dishes including "Alligator and Unison Chili," "The Chili Chowder," "4 Meat Chili" and a vegetarian chili.
To many, this event meant more than a warm bowl on a rainy day--it was about helping an amazing cause.
Lee Welche, one of the event's organizers, was excited to raise money for a cause, namely by helping veterans "with getting health care getting the things they need housing," he said.
