Chip sealing starting in Berrien and Van Buren counties

ABC 57 BERRIEN AND VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. -- The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) and contractor Pavement Maintenance Systems Inc. are chip sealing 27 miles of state highways in four locations.
Starting Monday, June 15, the following locations will be impacted:
- Northbound I-196 from I-94 to M-140 Exit 18
- Southbound I-196 from I-94 to north of Coloma Road
- I-196 Business Loop (BL) from 15th Avenue to south of Alyworth Avenue
- M-63 from Blue Star Highway to Harrison Street
This $2.9 million investment includes overband crack fill, single-course chip seal, fog seal and pavement markings.
