Christie takes oath for second term amid scandal

NEW JERSEY -- It was a day of ceremony for New Jersey Governor Chris Christie as he starts a second term.

Christie was sworn-in Monday.

In his address Christie asked for unity, praised New Jersey state government for its work in Superstorm Sandy relief, and totally ignored the swirl of scandals that surround him.

"To my fellow New Jerseyans we started this journey together in a dark and foreboding time in our history. We have worked together to restore, renew and rebuild the state that we love," said Governor Christie.

Christie's second stint is clouded by state and federal investigations into traffic tie-ups at the George Washington Bridge.
