Thanksgiving is still a week away, but the Niles History Center is already decorating for Christmas.
The lights and the garland started to go up Monday at Chapin Mansion by teams of helpers and volunteers.
Each team got to pick a theme based on the overall theme of Christmas Past.
"It’s a way for people to get involved get engaged, we chose the theme of Christmas Past and we asked people to choose whatever that means to you, whether it’s a century ago a decade ago and we've had a good response from people so far," said Christina Arseneau, history center director.
Teams could choose from several different spaces in the mansion to create their masterpieces.
The public can see all of the teams’ hard work starting next week.
