City of Elkhart appoints new fire chief

ELKHART, Ind. – The City of Elkhart has appointed Assistant Chief Shaun Edgerton as the new fire chief. Edgerton has been with the department for 30 years.
Mayor Rod Roberson has said that Edgerton has extensive knowledge of the city and the team.
Steve Kamp had been fire chief of Elkhart since October of 2019.
