City of Goshen given bronze for Bicycle Friendly Business award

GOSHEN, Ind. - The City of Goshen was recently given a bronze rating for the Bicycle Friendly Business award, recognizing the city as one of over 1,500 businesses nationwide that are making efforts to support bike riders in their community.

As part of its efforts to accommodate and encourage bike riding, the city offers amenities like electric bikes and parking areas for bicycles.

“We take great pride in our bike trails and infrastructure servicing a growing cycling community,” Mayor Jeremy Stutsman said. “We are committed to always improving the safety of our community for all modalities of transportation. I am thankful for our Department of Environmental Resilience staff, who has helped lead the charge to promote a bike-friendly culture among our City staff.”

The Electric Brew, a coffee shop in Goshen, was given a silver rating for its efforts in maintaining a bike friendly environment.

As part of the Bicycle Friendly Business network, the city has access to tools to become event more accommodating to bikers.
