City of Goshen hosts third annual Indigenous Peoples Day Celebration

GOSHEN, Ind. -- The City of Goshen Community Relations Commission will host its third annual Indigenous Peoples Day Celebration on Oct. 14, at the Goshen Theater.

The doors will open at 6 p.m. for the event, with local indigenous artists in the lobby. The free program is open to the public beginning at 6:30 p.m.

This year's event will have a presentation by Doug Peconge, ARPA Project Manager and citizen of the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma. Dancers from the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians and the Ribbon Town Singers. Peconge will discuss the Miami Tribe's journey to regain land in Fort Wayne.
