City of Niles issues boil order in High Pressure District

NILES, Mich. – The City of Niles has issued a boil order for drinking water for customers in the High Pressure District of the City.

The High Pressure District includes the West Side – west of Chippewa, west of Hance, and Bertrand Township customers, including Bertrand Crossings and Industrial Park.

This boil order is in place as a precaution.

Customers in these areas should have received a notice in the mail from the City.

The order is expected to last 72 hours. During this time, customers should boil water that is consumed, such as when eating, drinking, brushing teeth, and prepping food.

Residents can bathe as normal.

Customers will be notified when the order is lifted.
