City of South Bend reminds residents of snow removal protocol

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The City of South Bend issued a reminder of parking requirements and plan of snow removal on Monday.

The city reminds residents if a Street Snow Clearance Condition is declared, you should park on the even side of the streets on even numbered days, and on the odd side on odd numbered days.

If a vehicle is in violation, the owner is responsible for any citation or fees that are received.

According to the city, it is the responsibility of the property owner to remove snow and ice from the sidewalks.

City officials say if snow and ice are not removed within 24 hours, a citation could be issued.
