City opens additional overnight warming center

Another overnight warming center opened up on the northwest side of South Bend Friday, according to the city and the St. Joseph County Emergency Management Agency.
The Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center had been announced Thursday as one of the warming centers only open until 9 p.m.
The city says, doors to the center will be open until 9 p.m. but residents can knock and be let in to stay warm after the doors close.
The center will be open through Monday.
