Classmates raise money for disabled student

BERRIEN COUNTY, Ga. -- Students in South Georgia decided to step up and help out one of their fellow classmates.

Berrien High School students raised more than $3,000 for classmate Dan Bombardier to buy a wheelchair ramp for his family's van.

Dan has Spina bifida but says this donation will allow him to be just like other teenagers.

"I like to go to the gym. I got to hang out with my friends playing basketball," said Dan.

Dan was also recently elected homecoming king.

The students and staff had enough money left over after purchasing the ramp for Dan that they were able to help a student in need at another area school.
