Semi driver freed after being trapped for more than two hours

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — A semi driver is recovering after being pulled from a crash early Tuesday morning on the toll road.

South Bend Fire and Clay Fire worked for more than two hours to free the driver after it flipped over and into the median near mile marker 78, about a mile east of the Notre Dame exit. The condition of the driver is not known.

Traffic was blocked in the west bound lanes for about an hour. The road has since re-opened.
