Clay Fire announces partnership with neighborhood social network Nextdoor

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind.—Clay Fire announced Friday a new partnership with Nextdoor, a social network for neighborhoods.

Clay Fire says the partnership will allow officials to communicate information like emergency notifications, fire precautions, medical emergency tips, and details for events and educational programs with neighborhoods in Clay, German, and Harris townships as well as Roseland and Indian Village.

The goal is to increase safety, awareness and prevention efforts for fire and medical emergencies, Clay Fire said.

According to the fire department, over 60 neighborhoods in Clay Fire’s jurisdiction are using the tool.
